The Justice League features the biggest superheroes on the Detective Comics roster, from Superman to the Green Lantern. Each hero possesses an array of powers players can take advantage of to crush their enemies. The core roster features Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna. On top of that there will be a number of heroes to unlock.
Warner Bros. Interactive has employed star talent from the Justice League cartoon series for the game, including Ron Perlman (Justice League Unlimited) as the voice of Batman; Crispin Freeman (Viewtiful Joe, Kingdom Hearts II) as Superman; and Courtenay Taylor (Call of Duty 2: Big Red One) as Wonder Woman.
Ignoring the innuendo in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One being associated with Wonder Women, the vocal talent is there to make this a treat for fans of the series, although it might sound strange given that Batmen has Clayface’s voice.
The story is written by award-winning Dwayne McDuffie, who is credited with work on Static Shock, Justice League, Damage Control, and Deathlok. Players will travel through destructible environments spanning the universe, fighting evil and avoiding dying in the process. The game can be played solo or cooperatively. Characters can be customized to suit the player's style.
This is likely to be the last outing for the Justice League - as a team at least, as Superman Returns is also coming soon - on current generation consoles; let’s hope it does the license “Justice”.
