Cheer up! The lunch tables have finally turned, and it looks like the school day is going to get a whole lot better. Firstly though, you’ll have to climb out of your locker, borrow some more lunch money and gather your wits if you’re going to survive in one of the most hostile environments imaginable: the schoolyard.
From edgy publisher Rockstar's Vancouver development team comes Bully, a dark comedy set in the fictitious reform school of Bullworth Academy. Along the way you’ll have to face the usual barrage of school bullies and terrifying teachers desperate to bring you to your dirty and grazed knees. There will be pranks simply begging to be played on others, gorgeous girls to pursue and more rampant corruption to be uncovered than you could poke a well used cane at.
Bully is the debut title from Rockstar Vancouver, and continues on in the Rockstar tradition of humorous tongue-in-cheek storytelling combined with innovative and original gameplay. "We are really excited about the first title to be developed by our Rockstar Vancouver studio," said Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games.
Not only does Bully have the potential to both offend and amuse, but its release will no doubt be met with a storm of publicity due to its violent content and risky subject matter. Whatever the verdict, Bully will be sure to hit the shelves with a bang. So shine your shoes, tuck in your shirt and be ready to take on the biggest and meanest classmates that will be charging your way.
Bully will be released for Xbox and PS2 and is due in stores around April 2006.
