Sleeping Dogs - Announcement Trailer

A live-action trailer for Sleeping Dogs, a new game from United Front Games (ModNation Racers) and Square Enix (Final Fantasy, Deus Ex, etc). Set in Hong Kong (the game was in fact originally known as True Crime: Hong Kong), the story - well, let's not ruin it. Watch the trailer if you want to know more about the plot.

Little is known about the gameplay, however it's expected to be at least similar to the first two True Crime games (Streets of LA and New York City), which were relatively open-world (think: Grand Theft Auto) action adventure games, with an emphasis on action.

Even if you have no interest in the game, this clip - which is like a mini movie - is well worth a watch, particularly for fans of Hong Kong's well-known brand of action cinema.

As for the game? It's targeted at an August release (this year) on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows-based PCs.
