AT A GLANCE

The Good: More anal probing fun, kinky. "Destroy All Humans goes High Def."
The Bad: Violation of the alien’s rites!
The Ugly: Anal probing cows.

The original Destroy All Humans titles on Xbox and PS2 were two of the most original action titles of their generation; somewhere between the Anal Probe, Death ray and 1970s atmosphere, they captured the concept of what an alien invasion should be like - from the alien’s point of view. Now Destroy All Humans is ready to go HD with Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Developed by THQ’s Sandblast games, this installment puts players in the boots of Crypto in his conquest of earth. Fans of the original titles will be pleased to know that classic weapons such as the Anal Probe and Death Ray will return. Sandblast is also touting that it will feature a huge open world to wreak havoc on.

This installment will stick to the 1970’s theme of the previous games, with a musical score inspired by the era and composed by multi-award winning TV, movie and game composer, Garry Schyman, and recorded with a live symphony orchestra and a few – as yet unannounced - Hollywood musicians.

Here is what Garry had to say about his soundtrack for Destroy All Humans 3 in a recent press release: “The idea for DAH3 was to continue the approach set in DAH1 and DAH2 as though I was a film composer writing in that period,” he continues “Of course wah wah guitar is slathered throughout because it was so ubiquitous and influential. Personally this is my favorite of the three DAH scores. I love this style of music!” Awards include the Spike TV Award for “Best Original Score” and G4TV Award for “Soundtrack of the Year”. See? More than qualified to handle Destroy all Humans’ music.

All up Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon is looking promising with its HD visual upgrade and new soundtrack laying a nice coat of next-gen polish on an already solid series.
