Hellboy: Science Of Evil

Very few movie tie-ins these days live up to the expectations of the gaming industry. On the odd occasion we see a rare gem pop out from the womb of Hollywood and gets us gamers nodding our heads. Well you better be nodding your heads in agreement when Hellboy: Science of Evil smacks you in the face with the force of a rocky fist.

The game will follow along the same sort of principals as your standard beat-em-up-that-relates-to-a-comic-book formula for games. You will smash, shoot, and throw your way through various levels to ultimately kill the 'evil bad guy'. However the way things are shaping up for the new Hellboy game it looks to slightly defy the recipe that usually makes sour games.

The game focuses around Hellboy himself and his goal to crush the Nazis and their twisted plans for world domination. Players are gifted with a classic big-arse revolver that can be loaded with different kinds of ammunition for different kinds of enemies and their respective weaknesses.

Not only can the player shoot the odd Nazi or demon but they can also slap their enemies around with the traditional rock-fist that we have all come to know and love. The fist can be charged up with rage to deal extra damage and unleash powerful finishers on the unfortunate bloke behind the boulder.

Not much has been confirmed on the story line for Hellboy as of yet, but it looks set to follow the plot of the upcoming movie 'The Golden Army'.The game is also hoping to release around July so keep your eyes peeled for further updates!
