NZGamer are lucky enough to be reporting from Games Convention Asia in Singapore all week long!
The first GC Asia was held in Singapore in early September 2007, attracting more than 70,000 game enthusiasts from the Asia-Pacific region. It offered both consumers and developers a chance to play upcoming games, network, and show off their wares.
This time around we’re attending, and will be reporting live from Singapore all week long! We’ll be bringing you the latest announcements and hands-on previews straight from the event, alongside interviews with the likes of Cevat Yerli (Crytek), and Peter Molyneux (Lionhead Studios).
Additional information about GCA can be found on the official website, and if you haven’t already, check out our What is Games Convention Asia? article.

What is Games Convention Asia?
Never heard of Games Convention Asia? Then you might want to take a sneak peak at this article to find out what you can expect from the Singapore based conference – it’s shaping up to be an event to keep both eyes on!
The Games of GC Asia
We recently took a look at some of the many games that will be on show at GC Asia. Be sure to read over them and let us know in the comments below which ones tickle your fancy!
GCA Blog #1: Arrival
"I'm in Singapore! Sweet! And good god it's warm outside!". In Tristan's initial blog from GCA he gives us a few details on today's media luncheon, as well as the swag he acquired while doing a spot of shopping.
Peter Molyneux Keynote @ GCA
As expected, Peter Molyneux's (Fable, Black & White) keynote at GCA 08 was thoroughly entertaining. And he made a number of very bold claims about Fable II.
GCA Blog #2: First Day
After a night out with various other media people (including a hilariously drunk Korean journo) and running on chocolate milk, Tristan checks out the show floor at GCA.
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood Hands On
I was quite surprised when I came across Sonic Chronicles at the Games Convention Asia. But there it was, sitting nonchalantly between a big bunch of other DS titles, shouting “play me!” in my direction.
Need for Speed: Undercover - Producer Interview
We got to talk to John Doyle, the producer for the upcoming Need for Speed: Undercover. We also tried our hand at the new game, and kept crashing into head-on traffic in our attempt to avoid the cops.
Dead Space Hands On
I recently got hands on time with Dead Space. While I didn’t experience much of the game, it was enough to get an idea for how the basic controls work, and what the highly touted atmosphere was like.
Fable II Hands On
We got our greasy mitts on Fable II at the recent Games Convention Asia, and we came away extremely impressed. Read all about dogs, wives, co-op play, and more here!
Interview with Peter Molyneux
We talk to the man behind games like Populous, Fable, and Black & White to discuss Fable II, narratives, James Bond, and more!
Mirror's Edge Hands On & Interview
We went hands on with Mirror's Edge at GCA, and attempted to chat to producer Tom Farrer while constantly falling to our death. Read all about it here!
SimAnimals Executive Producer Interview
We sat down with Sam Player, executive producer of the forthcoming SimAnimals for Wii and DS, at this year’s GCA conference in Singapore.
Blackshot Hands On
If you’ve played Counterstrike before, you’ll know what to expect. In many ways it’s a similar setup, with the option to buy different weapons before heading out and killing the opposing team or capturing a flag.
The Sims 3 Impressions
We managed to infiltrate a secret behind closed doors showing of Sims 3 at this year’s GCA event in Singapore. Well, we were invited, but it sounds better if we pretend to be sneaky ninjas.
