Along with an announcement stating that Life is Strange: Before the Storm's bonus episode, "Farewell", is releasing in early 2018, Square Enix and developer Deck Nine also announced that Hannah Telle and Ashly Burch, the original voice actors for Max and Chloe, will be returning to reprise their roles for the episode.
This will see Ashly Burch return to the role of Chloe, after being replaced by voice actor Rhianna Devries for the core Life is Strange: Before the Storm episodes due to Ashly's inability to act because of her involvement in the recently resolved year-long Voice Actors Strike.
In the blog post that shared the news, the team also thanked Rhianna DeVries for her voice and motion capture work, as well as reminded people that this may be the last time we see Max and Chloe together:
Rhianna DeVries has done a fantastic job for the voice and motion capture of 16 year old Chloe so far, bringing a little bit of herself to the role, just as Ashly had in the previous game. We are forever thankful to Rhianna for the work she has put into Before the Storm and she will continue to work with us for the motion capture of young Chloe in Farewell.
As a reminder, in the Deluxe Edition’s exclusive bonus episode ‘Farewell’ you will be playing as a young Max Caulfield and this may very well be the last time that you will get to see Max and Chloe together! Unfortunately as much as we’d like to, we can’t say much more about it just now as the team is focused on completing the final stages of polish for episode three, the finale of Before the Storm.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is currently available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam, and the final bonus episode, "Farewell", will be releasing to those platforms in Early 2018.
