Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition Announced

Runtime: 0:57    Author: BeamdogInc    Category: Trailers

Beamdog – better known for their modern porting efforts of old PC RPGs like Baldur’s Gate – have announced Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. The pack contains the game and all its post-release content, in addition to some visual tweaks.

Here’s the rundown, via press release:

  • Improved Display: Your portrait, combat bar, inventory, and other UI elements adjust in size based on your chosen resolution including 1080p and 4k.
  • Advanced Graphics Options: Pixel shaders and post-processing effects make for crisper, cleaner visuals. Enable contrast, vibrance, and depth of field options as preferred.
  • Community Endorsed: Original developers have teamed with key members of the Neverwinter Nights community to curate important fan-requested improvements to support players, storytellers, and modders.
  • Backwards Compatibility: Works with save games, modules, and mods from the original Neverwinter Nights. A galaxy of community created content awaits.

The game was originally released in 2002 by BioWare. It was praised for its content creation tools, which let players act as Dungeon Masters and craft their own stories and worlds.

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition currently has no release date, but it is available to pre-order on Beamdog’s site.

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! This is the game that got me back into gaming seriously as an adult. Like 8 years after it's release, but still. I have the diamond edition on my shelf still and have to virtual box windows xp to get it to run at all. I'm so down for this.

Best d&d adapted game ever, in my opinion. Some of the dialogue options you got as a half orc with 2 intelligence where hilarious..
