See Resident Evil Revelations’ Switch-exclusive Features

Runtime: 2:39    Author: ResidentEvil    Category: Trailers

Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 are making their Switch debut later this month, and Capcom has released a new trailer showcasing the different features those versions will have. Namely, you’ll get access to motion controls.

Players can point the right Joy-Con’s IR camera at the screen for more precise aiming. Gesture-controls are also included, for slashing knives at enemies, shaking free of a zombie’s grasp, or reloading your gun. Amiibo support is there too; tapping any model on the Switch will unlock extra grenades or ammo.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 release for Switch on November 28. You’ll be able to pick up each game piecemeal from the eShop.

Looks awesome, though I can just see now using the joy con to reload and it doing a knife swipe instead, followed by frustrating death. Splitting the joycons for co-op is intriguing - how will the camera work?

Maybe the face buttons will pan the camera left and right?
