Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Shows New Gameplay

Crowdfunded Metroidvania game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has received a new gameplay trailer. In it, you’ll get a look at a courtyard area, and a brief glimpse at a boss battle.

"Zangetsu is a samurai character we've previously announced. He resents anyone and anything tainted by demonic power,” said producer Koji Igarashi in a blurb. “As a result, he's hostile toward Miriam, whose existence is directly connected to the demon ritual. This is also a new stage we're introducing for the first time."

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night raised over $5.5M USD in its Kickstarter campaign. The game was slated to arrive this year, but was instead pushed back to the first half of 2018. It recently picked up a publisher, in the form of 505 Games.

I'm not sure yet... something feels slower about Bloodstained than the Castlevania games... Like the animation speed or the pacing... Hopefully it keeps getting tweaked cos I am very hopeful this will be great.
