A trailer has been released for the film adaptation of indie game Papers, Please. The movie features an immigration officer who must balance the responsibilities of his job, and his moral compass, as he controls who is and isn’t allowed into the fictional Eastern Bloc nation of Arstotzka.

The short film was announced back in May, and is slated to release in 2018. It’s being created by Nikita and Liliya Ordynskiy, with support from developer Lucas Pope.

Looks decent enough from the trailer, though I wonder how the full product will turn out. The game was more about the players moral compass and the choices you made. So with the viewer having no input, I don't think it'll be too compelling.
