L.A. Noire Gets 4K Showcase

Runtime: 1:01    Author: RockstarGames    Category: Trailers

Rockstar has released a new trailer for L.A. Noire, showcasing the game running at 4K. It probably goes without saying, but you’ll need a compatible  ultra HD monitor to see the graphical bump in action.

The trailer comes off the back of last month’s news, which saw Rockstar announce that the 2011 detective thriller would be coming to modern devices. In addition to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, the game is also coming to Switch and VR (via the HTC Vive).

The PS4 and Xbox One versions feature 4K textures, all the DLC, improved lighting and clouds, and new cinematic camera angles. The Switch version doesn’t include higher resolution textures, but does support the Joy-Con’s motion controls, HD rumble, and an over-the-shoulder camera angle. This is in addition to touch screen controls.

The VR version features a stripped down version of the game, with certain cases rebuilt for the platform.

L.A. Noire hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Vive on November 14.

Completed this the first time round and it was okay. Beautiful in appearance and I quite enjoyed the interrogation mechanic. I think it would be interesting to try in VR as the interrogation would be a whole other level. but I don’t think I would buy the revamped 2d version. I think once was enough.

Yay I get to complete this finally... Had the Ps3 version but never got to the end... I'm probably one of the few who actually appreciate the whole "releasing old games as 4k Remasters" thing that is going on currently...

Interested to see how well it'll work on Vive.
