Dead Rising 4 Coming to PS4, Features New Mode

Runtime: 1:26    Author: OfficialDeadRising    Category: Trailers

It looks like Capcom’s exclusivity deal with Microsoft for Dead Rising 4 has expired. The zombie-smashing game will be arriving for PlayStation 4 on December 5, and bringing with it some new content.

Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package includes both the main game, and all additional post-launch DLC. It will also feature a mode called “Capcom Heroes,” which lets Frank sport over a dozen different outfits from other Capcom characters.

Here’s the full list of content, via GameSpot:

  • Dead Rising 4: Latest version of the main game with all difficulty settings.
  • All downloadable content: Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, Frank Rising, and Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf.
  • All bonus content: Street Fighter Outfit Pack, My Bloody Valentine Pack, Candy Cane Crossbow, Slicecycle, Sir-Ice-A-Lot, Ugly Winter Sweater, and X-Fists.

Capcom Heroes mode will be made available as a free update on Xbox One and PC versions when the PS4 edition launches on December 5. We'll update this article if New Zealand timing differs.

This is great news. I'm all for equal access. Even if I do main my PS4 more, letting us have the choice of what console to play a game I want on is great.

I hate this crap. The money could be better spent funding their own games, not delaying the competition getting someone else's game.

and not being forced to buy a console to play one game you want is also great.

More of tho should happen exclusivity is pretty petty. Especially the timed exclusives.

The exclusivity deal for DR4 expired before the DR3 one lol? Or they just skipped 3 and went straight to the newest one?

I think exclusives like uncharted, mario and halo are good. They are like a consoles identity.
But paying for timed is just stupid imo. Like tomb raider and this. Or destiny / cod expansions.
It's paying money just to make someone miss out for a while.

In my books first party exclusives are fair, but everything else is just Anti-Consumer.

I actually think its become a bit of a joke that the PS3/4 Players are getting screwed out of a somewhat decent series (I say somewhat because 3/4 made it go a bit downhill)

I've only played a little of DR4, but the story is barely related to any of the other games, feels a bit like a reboot, but I honestly think Sony players are missing out on Dead Rising 3, although it was missing some of the core features from past games like survivor escorts, its still a really fun game. My favorite title still by far is DR1, but I still recommend anyone who is getting into the franchise buy DR2 HD from the XBL/PSN store, best game to start since its got full online co op.

I love the Dead Rising series, DR3 was my fav Xbox One launch game and still is some of the most fun I've had playing co-op with my brother. Once I realised DR4 didn't have co-op I lost all interest in it, my brother has it but I don't think he's ever played it either lol. Way to kill a franchise Capcom. :|

I don't like 3rd party exclusives, I think they should all be on everything (there are millions of PS exclusives that should be on Xbox too) but the DR franchise has always been a big mainstay of the Xbox so I wasn't surprised to see them get it exclusively. Even if it was only timed exclusive.
