Publisher and developer Square Enix announced a release window for Kingdom Hearts III over the weekend. The oft-requested game, which combines the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney into its own unique universe, will hit store shelves in 2018.
The company made the announcement at Disney’s D32 expo, alongside a new trailer. The video focuses on combat, and shows a world based on the Toy Story franchise. Only Japanese voice-acting was used in the trailer.
You can also get a look at some of the weaponry Sora has access to. He takes on Heartless with a hammer, which then transforms into a drill-glove. It also appears that each level may have unique mechanics; latter stages of the demo feature Sora jumping into the cockpit of a robot toy and piloting it in first-person.
