Announced earlier today on the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing stage, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a new 2D fighting game set in the world of the famous franchise, set to release in early 2018.
Coming from Arc System Works, the developers behind Persona 4 Arena and the Guilty Gear franchises, Dragon Ball FighterZ looks to allow players to experience stunning aerial combos, destructible stages, and famous scenes from the Dragon Ball anime. The game also looks to provide 3 vs 3 Tag/Support gameplay, as well as allowing players to train and master more than one fighter or style, which the developers hope will bring with it deeper gameplay.
After the success of the Xenoverse series, it’s time to introduce a new classic 2D DRAGON BALL fighting game for this generation’s consoles. DRAGON BALL FighterZ is born from what makes the DRAGON BALL series so loved and famous: endless spectacular fights with its allpowerful fighters. Partnering with Arc System Works, DRAGON BALL FighterZ maximizes high end Anime graphics and brings easy to learn but difficult to master fighting gameplay to audiences worldwide.
Another notable aspect of the title is that it will support a 60FPS/1080p resolution on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, along with higher resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro, and newly announced Xbox One X.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is releasing in Early 2018 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
