Assassin's Creed Origins Officially Announced

Runtime: 1:46    Author: UbisoftSEA    Category: Trailers

It's no surprise to anyone at this point, but the next game in the Assassin's Creed franchise has been officially unveiled during Microsoft's E3 conference.

Announced alongside a debut trailer, the video confirms what we've been told over the past weeks; the game will serve as an origin story for the assassins during Ancient Egypt.

The game appears to utilise a different combat system than previous games, while also giving players access to an eagle for scouting purposes. There's also a large snake.

We still don't know much about the main character, but his name is indeed Ba-Yek, who has initially leaked via a t-shirt.

Assassin's Creed Origins will release this year, October 27 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Hopefully no more trailing missions and synchronizing view points...

For ages it has been PS4 getting exclusive content for the series, so I did not expect this to be on MS's stage. It was nice being surprised by the trailer though.

Looks very interesting, though I hope they don't stray too far from their usual formula.

Love the setting.
Hopefully its different enough in its gameplay to feel fresh, but similar enough to feel like Assassins Creed.
Certainly one Ill not be pre-ordering and reading alot of reviews at launch to see if I buy early or get it later down the line.

I haven't played a game in this series for ages but I might get back into it with Origins.

I am really looking forward to this game. The setting looks amazing and I can't wait to see what they do with it. Hopefully we see some serious evolution in the gameplay and mechanics.

Liking the look of this. Always a sucker for levelling up, loot drops, questing etc. I know it's nothing new but it is new for an AC game and it might be all it needs to refresh the series a little.
