Adding to the ever-growing trend of sports games including story modes, the publisher confirmed at their EA play event that FIFA 18 will bring back the journey mode from last year's game.
The trailer from E3 conference teases the return of fictional character Alex Hunter, shown in high-praise by those of the sport, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who appears to have a role that goes beyond just the box art.
The newly released trailer shows Ronaldo in a motion-capture suit demonstrating his moves so the game can better emulate the somatics of football as stated on the game's website:
"Play like Ronaldo. Data capture of the Real Madrid star's acceleration, skills, run cadence, and shooting technique were all recorded to bring complete accuracy to his likeness and personality in FIFA 18."
FIFA 18 is also joined by Madden NFL 18 this year in a growing number of sport games featuring narrative modes.
FIFA 18 is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC worldwide on September 29.
