Developer Ubisoft released a cryptic trailer overnight, which details where upcoming game Far Cry 5 will be set. According to the video, the game will take place in the American countryside.
All the footage appears to be live-action. The trailer reveals that the game will be set in Montana, in a fictional area called Hope County. Scenes of nature figure prominently, mixed with religious overtones; a church, with the hymn “Amazing Grace” being sung.
This will be the first time the Far Cry series has been set in the United States. Previous entries took place on tropical islands, and in the Himalayas.
Far Cry 5 is scheduled to release before April 2018. A full announcement trailer is slated for May 26.
