Payday 2 Getting Free VR Mode

Runtime: 0:50    Author: OVERKILLSoftwareTM    Category: Trailers

Developer Overkill Software is continuing to support Payday 2, but a livestream today revealed an in-the-works addition that won’t just be your standard cosmetic DLC. The co-op crime shooter is coming to virtual reality.

The studio delivered the news during a livestream, and also dropped a trailer. While no release date has been given, the VR mode will have a beta some time in 2017. It will also be free for current owners of the game on PC.

The trailer above shows the game running on an HTC Vive with motion controllers. It’s unclear if the VR mode will be made available for Oculus Rift, or PlayStation VR.

Do you still play Payday 2? Does the thought of strapping on a head-set to play the game interest you? Let us know in the comments below!

Nah it's all good devs. I'd just rob a bank in real life, instead of living a fantasy in some immature computer-game.
