Call of Duty: WW2 Reveal Trailer

Runtime: 2:08    Author: CallOfDuty    Category: Trailers

Publisher Activision released a new trailer for Call of Duty: WW2 via livestream early this morning. You can catch the game’s story-beats, characters, and World War II setting in the trailer above.

The game is slated to launch on November 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders will get access to a multiplayer beta prior to launch. As has been the case with recent entries, this will be made available first on PS4.

As Eurogamer reports, the game will feature a Destiny-styled hub set on a beach. Dozens of players will be able to see and interact with each other. Player ranks will also feature, with the highest seen being level 55.

As per usual, a co-op Zombies mode will be returning, this one featuring “the Third trying to create an army.”

Developer Sledgehammer’s previous Call of Duty game was 2014’s Advanced Warfare.

The Destiny styled lobby/hub on the beach kind of sounds cool, walking around buying new upgrades from an outfitter, and reminds me of the Saving Private Ryan scene where they're regrouping at a camp and the soldiers are counting dog tags, I guess they're trying to add new things to the game and at the same time keep things similar to the older games to try pull back the fans lost to games like Battlefield, Company of Heroes, and Red Orchestra.

Well even if the multi player turns out to be rubbish and full of micro transactions, I'll at least play the single player.

I might buy it, if it doesn't have micro transactions, otherwise no money for them.

I feel like I'm the only one disappointed with this trailer. It was probably more than a little naive, but I was hoping for something more along the lines of the original CoD, or Band of Brothers, instead it looks like Saving Private Ryan told through the lens of Michael Bay... really hope there's more depth to it than that though.

Its a shame with all their talent an resources Activision are still scared to take a risk with something completely new.
