Wonder Boy HD Remake Gets Launch Trailer

Runtime: 1:22    Author: DotEmu    Category: Trailers

Developer Lizardcube and publisher DotEmu released a launch trailer for Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. In it, you’ll get a run-down of the new features arriving for the HD remake, and get a look at its slick new art style.

Boasting beautiful, hand-drawn animations and a re-orchestrated soundtrack, the cult classic returns with a unique blend of exploration, action, and adventure. Play as Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, Piranha-Man, Lion-Man, and Hawk-Man, and use their unique abilities to uncover the land’s deepest secrets. Switch in real-time between the original retro graphics and the visually stunning modern remake, and input your old Sega Master System passcode to unlock all of your old saves and progression – just how you left them in 1989.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s trap launches this week for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch. A PC version is slated to hit Steam in the coming weeks.

I'm loving playing this, pre-ordered it when it was announced. It plays just like the Master System version, I like playing with the HD graphic and the 8-bit sound. I've got my 5 year old son playing it, it is challenging enough as a platform for him even on Easy. Recommend for sure!

Your obviously young and never played the original. Not to get ahead of myself this is the best looking remake Ive seen of any game, even just the feature of being able to switch back to the original graphics on the fly is amazing.
