Developer Telltale has released the first trailer for their Guardians of the Galaxy series. Slated to arrive this April, the game stars iconic heroes and villains from the highly popular Marvel comic license.

From the press release:

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe's unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.

Guardians of the Galaxy is set to launch on April 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.

It won't fit in with the MCU. No actor resemblance, adult Groot, and personally I'm not sure a straight Thanos vs Guardians could work in the cinematic version. (comic versions of the characters apparently are much more powerful... a couple of them at least)

My first telltale was batman. If they can pull something similar off then i'm keen. I think i'll wait for the full edition first though - I really enjoyed playing it over about a week and aren't sure they story would drag me back as much if. eye was a month gap between episodes.
