Destiny 2 Teaser Trailer

Runtime: 1:13    Author: destinygame    Category: Trailers

Bungie and Activision released a cinematic trailer for Destiny 2. It features Cayde-6 (voice again by Castle and Firefly actor Nathan Fillion), recounting a firefight against some enemies. The tone is quite a bit lighter than the first game’s promotional material.

A worldwide reveal for Destiny 2 is set for March 31, 6AM NZT.

As Polygon notes, the destruction of The Last City features prominently. Zavala and Ikora Rey also appear, with the latter battling a previously unseen Cabal enemy.

PlayStation 4 players will be receiving timed exclusive content “until at least [spring] 2018.” Details on that content is slated to arrive this winter.

Enjoying the break between D1 and D2, but once it's here, Imma be all in. I've heard that there will be a 10 minute demo or rundown at E3 as well. Hyped.

Incredibly disappointed to hear that Sony is getting another year-long exclusivity deal. Regardless, based on my experience with the first game, I'll be waiting on reviews for this one.

This.

Not being a fan of any amount of exclusivity on DLC content, a year is unquestionably poor taste. At the end of the day, us gamers should be able to choose whatever platform we want, and not expect to be treated like we chose poorly.

I can swallow a week or possibly even month of locked content - but a year? Well how about I pay less for the same game then, since I'm missing out on content that was designed for it. You might argue the content wasn't that big of a deal, and sure, an extra weapon or armour piece here and there really isn't - but actually locking content (such as the Strike missions) is detrimental as you are removing ACTUAL content from half the player base for such a long period of time.

Apologies for the rant but this kinda thing tends to grind my gears.

A year of exclusive content!? A YEAR?! Man Sony are doubling down on this. They must be confident. I doubt the missing content will be that essential though but still rubbish!

I hope this time it lives up to the promise. I want sprawling open worlds, Towns and cities to visit. Meaningful encounters with NPCs who have personality and stories of their own. If it's just more repeatable, grindable content thinly stuck together with minimal story then I'm out.

Sony is trying for the whole Anti-Consumer of the year company again.

Is it any worse than Microsoft with Rise of the Tomb Raider? That was a whole damn game on a 1 year timed exclusive!

But you guys actually got Tomb Raider, and when you did, it came WITH ALL THE DLC, THAT XBOX HAD TO BUY SEPARATELY.
Afaik, Xbox still hasn't gotten the "Year" long exclusive destiny content.

But in this case, you're still getting pretty much the whole game minus a weapon or two (which will probably be sh*t), maybe a strike. I doubt it'll be any major exclusive content.

Yeah the practice sucks, but both Sony and Microsoft are guilty of this.

Cute, and a bit of a change! I like the idea of a bit of humour and humanity thrown into the mix. Show me more.

As long as there is a lot more content this time round. There were so few strikes to begin with, where having a few less so early made the game feel all the more grindy.

For sure both companies do it - would be great if they toned it down a bit :)
