Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition Announced

Runtime: 1:24    Author: Beamdog    Category: Trailers

Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition has been announced, bringing the highly influential RPG from 1999 into the modern era. The game is coming to PC and Mac, but will also be arriving on iOS and Android. No release date has been confirmed.

Developer Beamdog will be handling the project. The studio’s previous works include enhanced ports of other classic PC RPGs, like Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2, and Icewind Dale. They also released a story expansion bridging the gap between Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2, titled Siege of Dragonspear.

Lead designer Chris Avellone is on-board with the project, with “updates curated” by him. This is in addition to 4K resolution support, an improved interface, and a remastered soundtrack.

Spiritual successor Torment: Tides of Numenera launched earlier this year. The game was crowdfunded via Kickstarter.

If that's the case you may want to support Pillars of Eternity 2. https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire

I assume it will be compatible with phones as well. Beamdog's ports of Baldur's Gate / Baldur's Gate II / Icewind Dale all are, so I don't see why Planescape would be any different.

It's already on the wishlist. Had been for awhile. I want to play the originals but also something new like PoE.

That must be a bit difficult to play on a small screen :/
