Ghost Recon Wildlands Gets 4K Showpiece Trailer

Runtime: 2:26    Author: UbisoftANZ    Category: Trailers

Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Ghost Recon Wildlands, showcasing the game’s Bolivian landscape in 4K, 60FPS on PC. The video also touches on some of the rendering techniques that Nvidia is bringing to that version.

From the video:

Our number one goal was to recreate the beauty of Bolivia’s landscapes. To do this, we turned to our long-time partner Nvidia. They helped us to employ a variety of modern, rendering technologies that raised the bar on what had previously been done.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is launching on March 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can read our impressions of the closed beta here.

... turns out I have neither the monitor or bandwidth ... Also poor laptop also nearly took off the fans were going soo hard !
Might have to start a Give-a-little campaign to help poor gamers like ourselves.

Been thinking about when I build a rig at the end of the year whether I go 4k 60Hz or 1440p G-sync. Was resigned to the fact Ill go 1440p because I can keep fps high while running max settings on a cheaper top end GPU. Now seeing and hearing about all these pretty 4k things make me even more confused on what to do... #firstworldproblems

I would say 1440p 144hz or 165hz is better, it will certainly make you play better if you like fps games. and you need a 1080ti to drive 4k on most games.

FPS will be played , but ill likely play RPGs more often, ie Skyrim modded up, Witcher 3 etc. Still 1440p 144/165 Gsync or 4k 60hz then? I guess the price difference on a 1080ti + 4k monitor vs 1080 + 1440pGsync will make the decision for me I guess also.

the 1080 is great for maxing out all games in 1440p 60fps and maxes fps games in 100-200fps(depending on game of course) with a few settings changed, but the 1080ti might be worth for more future proofing. Either card you will be happy with.

Looks great.... Now if I owned anything 4k I'm sure it would have looked better. With my TV starting to die I'll be upgrading sooner rather than later but doubtful it'll be to 4k.
