Xbox Live Games with Gold for March 2017

Runtime: 1:42    Author: xbox    Category: Trailers

Microsoft unveiled the upcoming games Xbox Live Gold members can expect to get their hands on this March. As per usual, there are two on 360, and two on Xbox One. Both last-gen titles can be played via Xbox One Backward Compatibility.

Here’s what’s arriving:

  • Layers of Fear – Xbox One, available during March
  • Evolve Ultimate Edition – Xbox One, available March 16 to April 15
  • Borderlands 2 – Xbox 360, available through March 15
  • Heavy Weapon – Xbox 360, available March 16 to 31

New Zealand’s games may differ due to region differences. We’ll update this story if that happens to be the case.

Looking forward to Borderlands 2. Glad I held out on buying it. And a horror game too. Pretty good month I think.

I'd be happy with that on PS+ for March, but I'll probably just get a bunch on Indies for the millionth time.

Wow... is that still a thing in NZ? Unlimited and UFB plans are so cheap these days that I figured most gamers would already have some version of it.

For many I suspect the default HD space would be a factor, and UFB isn't available everywhere yet. I'd be surprised if many gamers don't have unlimited, except for kids with mo control over that.

I'd be VERY surprised to hear about any gamers not having at least an unlimited connection in NZ.

As for UFB, Fibre should be in most places by this point... perhaps not Gigabit, but at least Fibre... then again, I'm in a small town, and I guess it's easier? to get us up and running with it, seeing as I had 100Mb Fibre for 2 years before recently getting giga... just seems odd to me that anyone would have issues getting at least the 100Mb connection at the prices they're at.... unless, as you say, they're children who don't have control over the line (and can't convince the one in charge).

NZG is quite Literally the only place on the internet where I can read of a slight concern for download size.

That's because internet in NZ is actually pretty decent - we're so small that it's been faster to get more people connected.

I can't get Fibre in my area yet and according to Chorus, I won't be getting it until end of 2019 and I live in Central Auckland.

Atleast I can get VDSL in my area, my brother in law who lives a couple streets down (within 1km) still stuck on ADSL with connection speed of 10mbps :(

For Auckland, that's disappointing. The few places I've stayed at in Aucks (on the North Shore, and somewhere around Onehunga... I think) have had either Fibre or are now able to get giga :(

I live in a relatively newer area of Christchurch and we only just got the fibre cables put in on our road... But yea when I got unlimited (ADSL at the time) it was actually cheaper than say the 100Gb plan as they have the proviso that you can have your speed throttled at peak times. Never noticed it though, and not sure if it actually ever is.

Unlimited my only thought would be kids as I say. Lots of under 18s or people on super tight budgets where the slight price difference.

But RE: fibre, a year ago I couldn't get Fibre or VDSL in a fairly central Wellington suburb. I've got a mate in Lower Hutt who is supposed to be getting it soon.

Fortunately I moved to a small town which was just completing the entire fibre upgrade as I moved, fibre is awesome.

But short of Chorus announcing fibre upgrade 100% completion I won't assume anyone to have it and there is still kids who game who have no control over caps, under 18s etc.

Not sure how to edit posts. Posted before I was finished. I would top out on adsl at about 2.6mbps down. Fortunately Lightwire came to my area about two years ago. My average speed now is about 14mbps down. And I do have a data cap. So wasting 50gb+ on something that will probably not be that good is not happening.

There is that horror game though. I'm sure someone said it is meant to be good.

Fair enough. I guess I've just been lucky, or spoiled :)

Living in "Gigatown", I will never get fibre because the fibre upgrade that's coming in 2019 will stop 1.4km short of my house.

A lot of people still can't get fibre in Dunedin, and it's getting ridiculous as our 3 year agreement finishes next year

Ouch 1.4km away. That's got to burn, it will be in spitting distance, assuming you use a spit cannon, or walk 1.4k first.

But on topic average month for me, with my huge backlog I'm not worried :)

Could do without Evolve and Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 is good, but it's been on sale approx. 1234873164981376 times, on PlayStation Plus, in humble bundles....

I much prefer Sony's approach: use it to signal boost interesting indie games that I'd probably never have heard of otherwise.

I'm looking forward to checking out Layers of Fear, though. I've heard great things about it and I've been meaning to pick it up.

Northwest suburban Auckland and still no fibre also.

Rollout here has been pushed back twice (most likely due to all the new building going on at Hobsonville Point and Whenuapai).

On VDSL, but pretty much at the edge of the VDSL distance limit; gives reasonable speed, but nothing fantastic (about 8/1 Mbps - approx 50% better than ADSL at this location).

It's fine for Chorus to say "Yes we have all these towns on fibre", but they'd get a higher population percentage on it if they just focused on suburban Auckland.

I'm not impressed with this coming months offering but hey price is fantastic. Don't think I've played Evolve in over a year can't see it getting played any time soon. I am surprised Evolve is in there and Borderlands??? Really anyone who has had any interest in this game probably had it years ago. Don't get me wrong it truly is one of my favourite game series ever but those two games shouldn't be included.

On the UFB front had UFB at my old place loved it was happy as I could get it at the new place right up until the installation tech released the install dates pushing our install back a month....I am happy to say VDSL in the interim is working just as well.
