Runtime: 2:04    Author: Civlization    Category: Trailers

Developer Firaxis has released a new patch for Civilization VI, their 4X strategy game on PC. Titled the “Winter 2016 Update,” it brings a list of changes to the game, including:

  • Added Earth map (Standard size)
  • Added “Alert” action for units
    • Put a unit to sleep until they spot an enemy unit – similar to XCOM’s “Overwatch” feature
  • Scenario setup menu
    • Jump into Scenarios more easily within the Single Player menu.
  • Added new replay option to Wonder completion movies

Two new DLC packs have also been released for the game. The first brings a new country to the mix in the form of Poland, and their leader Jadwiga. You can take a look at how they play with the above video. The other addition is a Viking Scenario Pack.

Missed having the 'Alert' action. Just a few more bugs to be ironed out and I'll be more than happy. Wondering if the DLC is worth getting now or waiting until it's all out and grabbing it all then...
