Gameplay footage for the asymmetric horror game Friday the 13th has been sparse until now. IGN has revealed a 17-minute video of the game, showing a full round of the multiplayer survival in action.
The video follows a group of camp counsellors, as they try to avoid masked killer Jason Voorhes. Players can hide under beds and set traps, all while trying to collect a list of items needed to jumpstart a car and escape. Players can take a swing at Jason with axes and machetes, but these will only stun him.
The game leans into its eighties-aesthetic, with visual and aural glitches approximating that of a VHS tape.
Friday the 13th was crowdfunded via Kickstarter. The game was pushed back to 2017 to allow the inclusion of a singleplayer campaign.
