Zelda: Breath of the Wild Gets First Switch Showing Live

If you’re holding out for more The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild news, then this might interest you. The highly anticipated game got its first live showing for the Nintendo Switch, on The Tonight Show with host Jimmy Fallon.

Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime was there to showcase Super Mario Run – one of the first mobile Nintendo games – but then moved on to the hardware company’s upcoming system, and the new Zelda title. The game’s creator Shigeru Miyamoto was also in the audience.

Miyamoto even jammed with the house band, playing the Super Mario theme.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release in 2017 for both the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. The latter console is also set to launch in March, 2017.

Anything zelda related I watch for 10 secs and stop. I know I'll buy it and it'll be day #1. I think that was the real appeal about ocarina of time, there were so many wow moments you discovered organically.

I watched this earlier today and it was great to see Jimmy Fallon being such a fan boy. Also I love the concept of the switch... Would be more awesome if my partner could drive then I'd never need to take a break lol.

I normally don't buy Fallon's fake enthusiasm for pop culture, but he genuinely knew stuff about the game and switch and seemed excited. Nice one.

It looks awesome!
Really glad that the game ran smoothly when undocked and it was pretty instant.
