Dishonored 2 Gets New Game Plus next Month

Runtime: 4:43    Author: BethesdaSoftworks    Category: Trailers

Publisher Bethesda announced over the weekend that Dishonored 2 – the recently released stealth-action title from Arkane Studios – will be getting a New Game Plus mode as a free update. Slated to release in December, the mode will allow players to go through the game again, bringing over all their power-ups and weapons into a fresh game.

As Eurogamer reports, the blog post detailing the update also hints at a new “custom difficulty setting.” No details have been given, but Bethesda promises to reveal more in the coming weeks.

The PC version – which multiple users have had performance trouble with – is also in the crosshairs for the developer. Players can opt in to v1.1 on Steam as a beta. The patch looks to fix the following issues:

  • Mouse improvements, including a fix for sensitivity being framerate dependent
  • Fixes an AMD cloth physics issue, which impacts framerates at various points in the game
  • Fixes an issue affecting CPU task priority - the game no longer switches CPU task priority

If you’re using an Nvidia card, Arkane recommends you use this driver.

"Our work on Dishonored 2 continues," the developer said. "Update 1.2 development is underway and will address a broader range of issues including performance and is estimated to be available in the next week."

Sounds awesome but I wonder if the game would be too easy with all the upgrades.

Have you tried Very Hard mode yet? Even maxed out that'll be a challenge.
