Open World Sports Game Steep Releases This December

Runtime: 1:48    Author: UbisoftANZ    Category: Trailers

Ubisoft announced that Steep – their open-world sports game set in the Alps – will release on December 2. A special Gold Edition has been announced too, which comes with the game and season pass.

If you pre-order Steep, you’ll also get access to the Moonlight Pack, which comes equipped with a bevy of night-themed content, including:

  • Three extra night challenges
  • Three new night outfits
  • Glowing equipment for each activity (ski, snowboard, wingsuit and paraglide)
  • Wingsuit Rocket Flare

From the press release:

With development led by Ubisoft Annecy, Steep drops players onto the Alps with exhilarating experiences that include skiing, wingsuiting, snowboarding and paragliding. These sports establish a never seen before freedom to explore the game’s open world, allowing players to choose the way they ride and play.

Steep will release on December 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can sign up for the game's beta here.

Forgot about this, signed up for the beta but havent heard anything.

I wanna like this but my vibe is its just so empty, and looks repetitive. I just want to know how they'll keep me interested because it looks like something fun for 30mins and then never play again.

Looking forward to the usual Ubi downgrade...

Stoked was on heavy rotation for a solid year. I wish someone picked up where they left off.

Me too, over the last few months I've been ultra keen for a decent beautiful snowboarding game but as this is almost an open world winter sports game I hope they haven't stretched it too far. Would love to get a go at the beta to either cement this into my upcoming games roster or put it to one side.

If it's got the 1080 Snowboarding feels of the N64 days, bring it on I say

Gotta love 1080, worked so had to earn the extra riders and the penguin board. Loved almost every minute of it.

I'm signed up for the Beta but haven't heard anything so far either.

I'm really on the fence about this, I just don't like the look of the wingsuit and paragliding (half the game). If it was just a dedicated snowboard/ski sim I'd be all over it. Might pick it up after it bombs / comes on sale.
