Overwatch is getting an Olympics seasonal event with sports themed skins, sprays, and emotes to collect. In addition, a new game mode will be making its way to the frantic first-person shooter, called Lúcioball.

“Overwatch’s spin on soccer places you in a fast-paced, 3v3 match featuring Lúcio,” reads a post by assistant game director Aaron Keller to the PlayStation Blog. “Players will hit the field in Rio de Janeiro, punching, bouncing, booping, and wall-riding their way to the goal.”

“Understanding how Lúcio’s abilities affect the ball is the key to mastering Lúcioball,” he continued. “For this brawl, his primary fire has been replaced with a melee attack, allowing Lúcio to punch the ball — perfect for dribbling, passing, and shooting from short range. When you need to launch the ball across the map, Lúcio’s secondary attack emits a blast of sound that gets the job done nicely.”

There will be over 100 new unlocks during the event, with every loot box guaranteeing one Summer Games items. The event runs from now, until August 22.

Looks cool! What I imagine Rocket League would look like if it was a mini game and not a stand alone.

It is fun, until the opponents rage quit when you have 3 unanswered goals and the match ends.
