During their E3 conference, Ubisoft Montreal showed off a cinematic trailer explaining the backstory for the world players can expect when For Honor releases on February 14, 2017 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Also mentioned during the conference was an Alpha that people can sign up for over on the game's website - no word on when the Alpha begins.
For Honor seeks to tell a story for each of the title's three factions, in an alternate history tale of violence all set a thousand years after a huge cataclysm has destroyed the world. The Knights, the Vikings and the Samurai have finally managed to regain most of their old strength, and now each has the power to defy the other factions, turning a rampant conflict into a total open war.
Embodying the greatest warriors in each faction, players will live, from the inside, the events of a crucial moment in that age-old war. Confronted by manipulation and treason, they will need to use all their wits and skills to ensure the survival of their people and foil the plans of the merciless and bloodthirsty warlord, Apollyon.
Storming castles and fortresses, turning the tide of massive battles, and confronting deadly bosses in intense duels, they will become heroes of legend, symbols and models of their warrior legacies.
Expect For Honor to be available on February 14, 2017 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Alpha registration is currently available - a uPlay account is required, and there's no word as of yet on when it is set to begin.
