Mass Effect: Andromeda Gets a New Trailer

Runtime: 1:58    Author: Mass Effect    Category: Trailers

Bioware made an appearance on the EA PLAY stage today to showcase their latest trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda, the newest chapter in their Sci-fi RPG franchise set to make it's way to the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC via Origin sometime in early 2017.

Despite no major revelations being talked about on stage or during the trailer, the information we can glean includes the name of your ship - Tempest; some facial animation work done on potential characters; numerous shots of some of the new worlds we will be able to visit; a few new creatures we may encounter (and kill); what appears to be a Citadel-type craft - likely the one that brought the Milky Way explorers to the Andromeda galaxy, and a shot of what appears to be the female version of the player character.

No release date has been announced as of yet, however in a recent news post on the Mass Effect Official Site, Aaryn Flynn, General Manager at Bioware, stated that the title will now ship in early 2017.

As we’ve been playing the game at the studio recently, it’s showing us that we’re taking the game in the right direction. But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be – that’s our commitment from all of us to all of you. Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship in early 2017. We can’t wait to show you how far we’re all going to go.

When it does release, Mass Effect: Andromeda will arrive on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC via Origin.

They have certainly done well designing the Tempest to be reminiscent of the Normandy while still standing out on it's own.
