Horizon Zero Dawn Coming March 2017

Runtime: 2:59    Author: sonyplaystation    Category: Trailers

Killzone developer Guerrilla Games announced that their open-world robot dinosaur hunting game Horizon Zero Dawn will be arriving for the Playstation 4 in New Zealand on March 1, 2017.

Other regions will be getting the game at different times: North Americans will receive it earlier, on February 28, while those in the UK will get it later on March 3. The game was originally set to release this year, but it was delayed.

"It wasn't an easy choice to make; we know many of you have been anxious to play the game since we first announced it,” said Guerrilla Games’ managing director Herman Hulst on the PlayStation Blog. However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for. The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn.”

"We realise that this decision may not please everyone,” Hulst continued. “At the same time, we're confident that the advantages of the additional development time afforded by the new date will become clear in the coming months, as we start to share more cool details and videos from Horizon Zero Dawn." To help tide you over, the team released the above trailer, showcasing the main character Aloy.

The game was originally unveiled at E3 2015 to great fan acclaim.

Wouldn't be a first party Sony game without a delay, but looks great! I would put money on this not being the last delay though, Guerilla need to take their time and get this right

OK this game has my interest... but I feel like they will need to have something really unique to capture people for any length of time. I mean it's pretty much futuristic ARK , something will need to differentiate it from the myriad of similar games that have been released - I'm not convinced that the fact its robots that your hunting is enough of a pedestal.
