Bethesda have confirmed that Doom: Collector's Edition has a recommended retail price of NZD $209.95 in New Zealand.
Bethesda have revealed the Collector's Edition for the upcoming Doom reboot, as well as a release date: Friday the 13th of May.
As well as the game itself, the Doom: Collector's Edition includes a steelbox case and 12" PVC statue of the Revenant demon, complete with an LED-lit base and internal slow-spinning turbine. It's priced at $119.99 (US), €129.99 (Europe), and £99.99 (UK); we've reached out to Bethesda to find out what the New Zealand RRP will be.
"While I love all the iconic hellspawn in our game, the Revenant is one of my favorites because he represents everything that Doom’s about," Hugo Martin, creative director at id Software, wrote on PlayStation Blog. "He’s got tons of personality. He’s fierce and relentless. He’s high-energy. And he’s just fun to look at. I mean, what’s not to love about a screaming, bloody, possessed corpse with two high-powered missile launchers strapped to his shoulders? Like I said: pure Doom."
Anyone who preorders Doom, either the standard edition or Collector's Edition, will also get the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which includes a demon armor set with three skin variations, six metallic paint colors, and three id logo patterns for your weapons and armor, and a set of six Hack Modules.
Bethesda also shared a new trailer for the game's singleplayer campaign, which you can watch at the top of this post. Doom comes out on May 13 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
