Two new trailers for Assassin's Creed Syndicate premiered during E3 last week to highlight the different play styles to be expected when the game releases.
The first showed the brazen combat style of Jacob Frye, and premiered at Ubisoft's E3 Press Conference. It shows Jacob chasing thugs through the streets of London, recklessly pursuing his targets via horse and carriage. He is then shown killing numerous enemies in a smelting factory, relying little on the stealth abilities of past franchise heroes as he leaps from the rafters causing quite the scene. After dealing to his target, Jacob also leaves less important enemies to his gang of Rooks.
Perhaps most significantly, Jacob walks into a pub in full assassin attire and begins a brawl. Jacob's play style seems to have the goal of attracting attention to recruit followers.
The trailer showing Evie's approach to combat was released during Sony's Press Conference. It shows Evie striking from the shadows, whistling to get an enemy's attention before stealthily killing him. Her combat style focuses on invisibility, and clean, quick kills. When confronted with enemies who have spotted her, Evie utilises her cane sword and throwing knives to dispatch them swiftly. After this, she returns to the shadows by adorning her hood and vanishing.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is due for release on the 23rd of October 2015 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
