Destiny's House of Wolves Expansion Launches in May

Runtime: 1:41    Author: destinygame    Category: Trailers

Destiny's second expansion, House of Wolves, will launch on May 19, Activision and Bungie announced this morning.

"The Reef will open to all Guardians, and you will join the allies of the Queen to destroy the traitorous Fallen from the House of Wolves," a statement on Bungie.net. "Over the course of the next month, we’ll be pulling the wraps off of all the new activities, modes, events, and gear you’ll have access to. Stay tuned to see exactly where your legend is headed next."

A teaser trailer for House of Wolves features a voiceover from the Queen of the Reef, inviting Guardians to help her seek revenge on the Fallen for betraying her, after she offered them a home amongst the Awoken. This is consistent with leaked information uncovered by a player back in February, though at the time, Bungie's David "DeeJ" Dague told Polygon that "aside from giving it a name, Bungie has yet to reveal the House of Wolves. That means that anything you know about it can change."

The official site for House of Wolves confirms that it will add three new competitive multiplayer maps, a new cooperative Strike, a new Elimination mode in the Crucible, and a new arena activity, The Prison of Elders. Further reveals are scheduled for April 22, April 29, May 6, and May 8.

House of Wolves will be available for individual purchase, and is also bundled with the first expansion, The Dark Below, in the Destiny Expansion Pass, which costs $43.35 on Xbox and $44.95 on PlayStation

Anybody know if Destiny saves your progress to the Destiny Servers? I lost a bunch of saves recently when my PS4 died. (online storage was full apparently)

Everything saved to cloud. You should even be able to play on a PS3 with your existing characters if you have a copy on that console as well.

May have to dust off my old character - got a bit tired of the grind. New strike should be fun.

Damn coincides with Witcher 3. I dunno but I think the Witcher will take my priority. Had a great time in Destiny and made some long term NZG mates but I doubt Ill be putting in the energy into HoWs. I just hope they dont make you level up all your stuff again and make the Raid gear immediately obsolete.

No raid is a big deal for me personally. They are going to reveal the new leveling system for existing gear later this month but have promised previously it won't be as unfair as it was for Crota DLC.

There is an image of a Fatebringer with 300 -> 365 on the bungie website which looks exciting!

Yeh Id rather level up VoG gear ie like the Fatebringer or Vex, infact all the VOG gear is good.
Is there definitely no Raid? That is a really strange decision, not just coming at a later date? Im certainly not going to play it for just Story and Strikes for long. Looks like it might just stay as a Tuesday night only thing then, and the Witcher the rest of the time.

Thanks for that, just been too reluctant to check.
