New Destiny Trailer Takes Viewers to Mars

Runtime: 1:30    Author: destinygame    Category: Trailers

There's been no shortage of coverage and marketing for Destiny in the lead up to its global launch on September 9th, but the footage seen so far has been limited to Earth and the Moon - just two of a handful of locations that will feature in Bungie's new game.

Activision, the title's publisher, has changed that up with the latest trailer, which gives viewers a first look at Mars.

"What little we know of Mars may as well be a myth. We built a massive metropolis in the red dust. No one knows what remains of our lost age, now buried beneath the dunes," reads the video's YouTube description.

The clip itself shows a group of three Guardians walking across the dusty, red Mars landscape, before cutting to a swathe of enemies coming out of hiding. It then proceeds to show footage of gameplay taking place on the planet, both on its surface and in the network of caves below.

Destiny comes out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on September 9th. For more information, see our alpha and beta previews.

The game looks good and I will likely be buying this but that just looked like Earth with no grass and a different skyline view.

This is what I thought, too. I bit disappointed to be honest.

It makes sense for Mars, but they could have done so much more with Earth.

For me I don't know how I'm feeling on this game so far as parts of the beta just looked so same same and also not very many people playing (please note I played the 360 beta which wouldn't be where I play when bought).

I'd like to see this game suceed on the MMO shooter side of things as not everyone wants yet another fps pvp experience with so many already out there. As in I want to play a long game with real progress not just rehash pvp matches day in day out. If I wanted that I'd play Call of Doody or other games that are trying to bring something new to the arena Eg Evolve.

Had my copy preordered for a year. Its come around quicker than I thought. 3 weeks to go!
Playing the beta, I thought it was "ok", Maybe I got my hype train to wound up lol
What got me re-excited was the end-game trailer with raids/strikes and gearing up.
Looking forward and hoping for an epic PvE experience.
