The beta test for the upcoming first-person shooter / role-playing game, Destiny, will run for a week for those on PlayStation consoles and four days for those on Xbox, Bungie has revealed.
In an update celebrating "Bungie Day," the developer detailed the full schedule for the Destiny beta. It will begin on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 at 5 a.m. on Friday, July 18, and runs until July 22nd at which point there will be a two-day downtime for maintenance. Then, at 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, the beta will reopen, with access granted to both PlayStation and Xbox platforms, and runs until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 28. (All dates and times are in NZST.)
In order to take part in the beta, players will need to pre-order the game from select retailers; in New Zealand, those include EB Games and some JB Hi-Fi stores.
Bungie also revealed three collector's editions for Destiny today: the Limited Edition, the Ghost Edition, and the Digital Guardian Edition.
