New Doom Game to be Revealed at Quakecon 2014

Runtime: 1:15    Author: BethesdaSoftworks    Category: Trailers

Bethesda and id Software today announced that the next Doom game will be revealed at Quakecon 2014.

The E3 teaser trailer released gives a small glimpse at what we may be able to expect in terms of game visuals.

Doom 4, a working title, was first announced in 2008, but there has not been any new information on the game since. In 2012, it was rumoured to be cancelled. However, we reported earlier this year that those who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order would get beta access to the upcoming Doom game.

While no other details were announced, more information will be revealed at Quakecon which takes place July 17-20th.

I'm sure the graphics will be quite stunning, especially when I look at what they've done with the latest Wolfenstein. In my opinion the main failing of Doom 3 was that the enemy AI was too predictable so am hoping they have significantly improved that.

With all the drama and toxic company culture going down at Zenimax owned Id Software, can they still pull out a game that has some soul to it?

I love the Doom franchise but it sounds like this one has gone through development hell and a lot of Id software personnel followed Carmack to Oculus.
