Transformers War for Cybertron is the best transformers game so far. For the fans of Transformers you will love this awesome third person shooter game.

The story of War for Cybertron (WOC) shows you the story of what happened before Optimus Prime came to Earth, so it basically tells you what happened before the first Transfomers movie. Campaign mode for War for Cybertron is really intriguing as you get to play as the Decepticons through a separate campaign and then you get to see how the story would be by playing through the Autobots eyes. Each campaign takes about 3-4 hours and both of them will really please the fans.

The gameplay of WOC is just like other third person shooters but you can transform into a vehicle by pressing L3 (this comes in handy when it comes to fighting the BIG bosses). The downfall of the vehicle change is that it can get in the way as it is really easy to accidentally push L3 while shooting at a autobot/decipticon. There are also classes for which type of character you want to use which are Soldier, Leader, Scout and Scientist. These come with different abilities like putting up force fields, setting up turrets and activating a ability which makes your bullets more effective against enemies. An awesome feature to the campaign would have been if it had offline co-op but sadly Highmoon Studios have only made it online Co-op.

Online Multiplayer is really fun, they have different modes to play through like deathmatch, team deathmatch, Countdown to extinction which is just a blow up the other teams base and a king of the hill type mode. To play Online Multiplayer you create your own player, from there you get to choose a class where choosing your class is actually choosing the type of vehicle you will be online where Jets are Scientists, scouts are cars, soldiers are tanks and leaders are trucks. Also when creating your player you can choose the weapons and abilities for your character to use. Personally I really enjoyed playing online. The game allows you to choose either regional or worldwide to find servers in those areas, I try to play on regional servers but it can take along time to get a server as there is not many people in our region that play online.

In future Transformer games I really hope they allow the creating player for online to go more specific instead of just classes, colours and weapons. The last mode that has been added to WOC is Escalation mode. Escalation is a mode where you and some people from online team up together to defeat waves of enemies. In this mode you use characters from the tranformers story instead of making your own transformer. Escalation is really fun but I found it hard to find people to play with online and when this happens it is really hard defeating the waves of enemies by yourself.

War for Cybertron is an excellent game overall but will be mainly loved by the fans, this is the best Transformers game that has been released but there is still room for improvement in future Transformer games. What Transformers game will be next? Energon or Armada?????
