Wii Sports

8/10

Wii Sports was one of the first games to come out on Wii. Wii sports is a brilliant way to show the excellent gamestyle of the Wii remote.

In wii sports there are many games to choose from, which are Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf and Boxing. Each game has a different way of playing the game using the Wii remote.

For tennis you use the Wii remote as if it were the tennis racket. Although sometimes the wii remote does not read your motion properly, Tennis on Wii sports is to me the best game to play on Wii sports. Also sometimes you can time the ball to hit a spot on the tennis court so that the opponent can never hit back, I think this is a glitch as it gets annoying sometimes when playing against someone and this hit is done.

In the Baseball game you get to be pitcher and batter, you get to use the wii remote as the Bat or you use it to throw the ball to the batter. They also give you the option to do 3 different types of pitches, which are fast ball, screw ball, splitter. As you swing your remote back and forth the bat also moves back and forth at the same time.

The Bowling you get to use the wii remote as if you had the bowling ball connected to the remote. Also the holes of the bowling ball have been substituted as the B button the Wii remote which makes it really similar to playing actual bowling. I found this game really cool and that it felt like real bowling.

In golf we have a golf club as the wii remote, you can switch the type of clubs but pushing the directional buttons on the Wii remote. Nintendo have tried to make this game as realistic as possible as they have also added the wind to the game so you have to calculate/ estimate where and how far you have to hit the golf ball. They also have many varietys of holes to play at so you do not get bored.

For boxing you need the nunchuk, the nunchuk and wii remote act as you gloves. Although the punches do not go exactly where you punch with the remote and nunchuk it still feels like you are actually fighting someone. You also get sore arms as well which is why it feels like a actual work out.

So over all the Wii sports game has a variety of awesome games which you and your friends and family can enjoy right in your own living room.
