PIKACHUUUUUUUUU *farts*

Welcome to another edition of Thizz’s blog for the week.
What makes all of us gamers a unique bunch?? is it the fact we don’t fit the stereotype of a typical gamer that many people perceive us to be anymore. You could be a 13 year old acne ridden teen with a high pitched voice or you could be a 72 year old grandma kicking it old school at the local retirement village or even better yet, you could be a manlady by the name of Shaniqua Delicious working at PakNSave ;)

HEHE
The fact that over the years the stereotype that the general public, have deemed upon us individuals playing games, by labelling us losers and loners is slowly fading away like Neyo's receding hairline (Ha take that hairline).

And in this day of age you cant tell who is a gamer and who isn’t, maybe your local dairy owner is a pokemon master or even that the first XV captain at your school is a hardcore Viva Pinata gamer. You could also walk past someone without knowing that they are a level 80 blood elf in World of Warcraft like this fellow here..

First impressions would think he is looking a bit googly, but he is in fact one of World of Warcraft’s elite masters on this very planet we live on.
Take some of my friends for example, large tees, AF1’s, new era hats and multi print jackets (and that’s their summer wear folks). You would think they would be up to no good but no one would ever suspect them to be avid retro Atari and NES gamers.
Maybe you would get a fair idea that if someone was into gaming if they were walking down the street dressed as a Jigglypuff or Kirby would be a strong indication that they are indeed a gamer or a complete nutter ;)

Gamers have a wide range of style and fashion that people will label them with another stereotype (Emo, Gangsta, Fob, Preppy etc etc) in which their clothes play a major factor towards their styles. Gamers fashion is not limited to any sort of specific clothing, unless you have Super Mario Overalls then you are indeed a bad a$$!!

So the question posed is, if you cant tell a gamer by looking at them, how can you find out if they are actual gamers??, well i have a few ideas that will give you a fair insight on how to spot a gamer!
You would need to inspect the individual’s thumbs to see if they suffer from OAA thumbs (Obsessive Analogue Abuse), where your thumbs are transfixed in a position where it looks like they are using a controller permanently and the thumbprints are not visible anymore.

You also need to check that the gamers eyes are suffering from some form of SES (Squinty Eyed Syndrome) caused by playing next gen consoles on an old CRT television.

ARGH ME EYESSSSSSSSSSS
Another disorder is EUOIGQ (Excessive Use Of In Game Quotes). Where certain individuals would use dialogue or catch phrases used by various gaming characters and apply it in everyday conversation or using it whenever you feel it is an appropiate time to. Like muttering Street Fighter moves..

HA-DO-KEN
SPINNING BIRD KICK
SHO-RYU-KEN
YOGA FIRE
YOGA FLAME
SONIC BOOM
And with that it brings me to the end of Part 1 of general gamers, and will continue in the following weeks to come. Hope you enjoyed and i'll see you all next week.

However, if I'm playing DS I get stereotyped as a nerd. Even though I'm pretty sure a lot of nerds laugh at anything and everything Nintendo.
haha..need.......to.........cut.......down..........on.......pic *opens My Pictures*
Funny you say the thing about the hands. Just the other day I cutting one of ma mates hair. (not as g@y as it sounds) and his hands were pretty much locked into that "handling a controller" position
...Kirby was a failure...'-_-
and...Pikachu? xD
