Like many others waiting for AC/DC songs to appear, I can say it's about bloody time. At least there wasn't a year long wait between the US and NZ release this time.
This AC/DC track pack contains 18 tracks from their Live at Donnington album, and includes hits such as Thunderstruck, Back in Black and Dirty Deeds. They are live versions of the tracks and most have extended guitar solos compared to the album versions. The game is a blast for guitar players with heavy riffs and a bunch of solos, but overall difficulty is not that hard. For everyone else in the band it can be a bit boring though. Drum parts end up being the same pattern for 10 minutes and singers have plenty of time to go a long way to the shop for a sausage roll during the guitar solos.
Although PS3/XBox360 owners will feel miffed as they are forced to overpay for a disc that could have been DLC, PS2 owners have no reason for complaint. Whinging about no player customisation, no online play and no trade-in value once you transfer tracks don't apply to me. Since you can also use your existing Guitar Hero guitars or Singstar mics, it's essentially a new Guitar Hero game or Singstar game for $40 if you don't have Rock Band already. With a bit of work you could even transfer the tracks into a custom GH disc if you wanted to.
A must have for AC/DC fans and a solid purchase if you already have a fake plastic guitar handy.
