So I have seen alot of discussion and ratings for the new Nintendo DSi but haven't seen alot of people who actually own the thing.
So, I am here just to let you all know how I rate the system.
Rather then tell you what's new (as I would believe by now that everyone already knows) I will just give you all my personal opinion.
In my time I have owned alot of consoles, especially Nintendo.
I own the Original Gameboy which was improved greatly by the Gameboy Pocket which was nicely upgraded by the Gameboy Color which was then finely outdone by the Gameboy Advance and finally the Gameboy Adance SP.
All improvements were greatly appreciated as they all seemed to provide exactly what was needed for the next generation.
The Nintendo DS was released which leaped ahead of the Gameboy Advance and set a new bench mark for competitors.
The Nintendo DS Lite was then released with some minor upgrades and for a reasonable price.
Which brings me to the Nintendo DSi.
Personal opinion. Do not even bother buying one.
Pros:
-2 cameras have been added. One internal and one external.
-SD memory slot added
-Ability to listen to music from SD card
-New downloadable features (Ability to Download games and applications)
-Improved speakers
-Larger screens
-Thinner console
Cons:
-Cameras have worst quality then the first cameras inserted into cellphones
-Music player can only recognise ACC files (No mp3 or WMA)
-Screens are not noticibly larger
-To make the console smaller they took the GBA game slot away. That means no Guitar Hero on your DS, No more catching specific pokemon, No more GBA on DS at all!
-The lack of games that actually take new features into affect (so far I only know of WarioWare which actually uses the inner camera)
-The fact that Nintendo have confirmed that won't actually be designing games to use new features.
As I am being rushed off the computer now I will have to stop my obvious ranting here.
Just hope that if you decide to buy a Nintendo DSi it's because you have won the lotto.

Yeah, personally I think that saving a hundred and something dollars for a Lite instead of a DSi is a pretty good idea.
Seems many people have alot to say about the thing!
Maybe the next system will actually bring some positivity...
nothing lost, nothing gained
i wouldnt turn down a ds1, infact i think owning one would be cool. but the pricetag put me off. i bought my cobalt/black edition ds lite and ive been enjoying it ever since.

Haha. I thought that you would make the review positive to stop all the people flaming it when they don't own one.

2) ACC files. Files you pay vast levies for but never get to use?
