Children and games

I used to play games from the moment I wake until I go back to sleep.

I could wake at 5am and Play some Call of Duty until 2am the next day.

I could play at 11am or 11pm with the sound all the way up.

In fact, it wasn't even a 'could'. I 'did' that!

Ok, I'm 22 with an average wage job. I'm not fat. I'm active and I buy my own stuff.

9 months ago, something happened.

Well someone happened.

My daughter was born. Little Ella.

Usually people would say "All that changed". It didn't.

I'm still 22 with an average wage job. I'm not fat. I'm active and I buy my own stuff.

I still play games as much as I did before. I've just become smarter about play time.

I can't wake at 6am and play Call of Duty because the light from the TV will wake my partner who will glare at me as she does the night shift.

I can't play with the volume all the way up. In fact, I can't with the volume at all.

I've invested in some Turtle Beaches. It works well except for if a baby is crying... You can't hear the baby.

You can't leave your games down low because a youngin's favourite hobby is to pull DVDs and games out of racks.

I guess this is more a list of things I do during my daily activities. But, I feel some of you can relate.

I remember when my 360 was my baby. Now my baby is my baby.

It still does the same things. Play games. Grunts. Has fits. It can just move too.

It's kinda like a Kinect. It doesn't always do what you want.

If anyone is thinking about having children. Plan first.

Save. Buy a house. But a state of the art gaming room with child proof game cases.

I'm going to update my profile now. Last time I was on here, a child wasn't even a consideration.

Congatz on your kid, I'm not sure exactly where you are going with this that it needed to be a blog rather than a normal post but good on you for writing one, we don't see them that often.

I enjoyed reading this....I laughed at the baby pulling the games out bit because my baby does exactly that...it really annoys my hubby who puts them in alphabetical order!!! But you are right...it doesn't change...I still play games just like I used to, its just that now I have a little person trying to "help" me play them :)
