It seems that fans can’t get enough Grand Theft Auto, and now everyone can gear up for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for the PSP.

Vice City Stories is a prequel to Vice City and takes place in 1984. Players will take control of Vic Vance, Lance Vance’s brother. You may remember Vic dying in the opening scene of Vice City, so there’s going to be a bit of Oedipal irony involved when playing Vice City Stories.

The premise is simple enough: Vic is out on the streets and must build an empire or be crushed. A majority of the gameplay will be similar to the previous games, with Rockstar promising incremental adjustments to the graphics and gameplay.

One major overhaul, however, is the empire building. Vic can start a number of businesses, ranging from extortion to prostitution. He can also attack and be attacked by rival gangs, bringing the flavour of Grand Theft Auto 2 to the game. The ultimate goal is, obviously, to grow your own crime empire while crushing those of your enemies.

With improved graphics and sound, adjustments to control, and some decent improvements to the gameplay to keep things fresh, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is shaping up to be another quality addition to the series that should satiate fans until GTA IV arrives.
