What are you doing? Are you at work / school / the pub? It's time to put down your pen / pencil / beer and get back home, because Monolith - the developer of Gotham City Impostors - wants you to jump into the multiplayer beta of the game now. Right now, in fact.

The game, if you haven't heard of it already, is a download-only shooter which can only really be described as unconventional. You pledge your allegiance to your favorite Gotham-based super personality (either Batman or The Joker) and set about waging war on the other team, using all manner of weapons and whacky gadgets in your quest to big-up your chosen icon.

The game is due next month (after a recent delay), at which point it will be available for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Windows PC download services.
