Crysis 3 - Announcement Trailer

The announcement trailer for what is sure to be one of the most talked about first-person shooters of 2013, Crysis 3.

Developed by Crytek, using their impressive Cry Engine 3, the third iteration of the hit franchise has been announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It appears to be set in New York once again, with the protagonist attempting to oust the alien enemy from the city which has otherwise been abandoned by humanity.

All is, of course, not quite what it seems, and Prophet will be under attack from a range of local and decidedly foreign enemies. One of the surprise revelations so far, which plays a big role in this video, is the incorporation of a bow & arrow into the player's arsenal. How big a part this unusual weapon will play in the final game is, of course, yet to be seen.

Crysis 3 is currently expected in the second quarter of 2013.
